This Week in the Bay: Urban Farms & Air Plant Gardens
This week there are two really cool garden events taking place in San Francisco. If you don’t live in SF, now you have two reasons to pay it a visit this week!
1. Breaking Through Concrete: A Virtual Tour of Urban Farms, Wed. June 13th in San Francisco: Taking place at CUESA, Breaking Through Concrete chronicles 12 successful urban farms from around the country with brothers David and Michael Hanson, author and photographer for the book Breaking Through Concrete. The event will end with a book signing.
2. Framed Air Plant Gardens (free talk at Flora Grubb), Sun. June 17th in San Francisco: Not the greatest gardener? Learn to garden with air plants – the easiest of all plants. In this free talk, Zenaida Sengo will teach you how to create an easy vertical tillandsia garden that you can hang on a wall.
