This Week in the Bay: Sunset House, Garden Bonanzas and more!
Hope you’re not going on vacation this week, because there’s a lot going on in the Bay Area! Here are three must-do’s:
1. The 2012 Sunset Idea House Open House, Aug. 3-Sept. 9 in Healdsburg: Every Fri-Sun from Aug. 3 through Sept. 9, the Sunset Idea House — which Habitat Design did the plant design and interior and exterior decor for — will be open to the public! The Idea House features an eco-friendly, pre-fab Breezehouse by BluHomes as well as locally sourced products and native plantings. Jessy and Bonnie will be up there all this weekend, so come stop by! Tickets are $17.
2. The Great Big Garden Bonanza, Aug. 3-5 in Woodside: The Garden Bonanza features three days of food, blooming flowers, garden demonstrations, art exhibits and more. The focus is on how to get the most from your summer garden, so we highly recommend attending! Tickets are free for members and $15 for non-members.
3. Garden Tour: Discover the Beauty in Water-Wise Gardening, Aug. 4 in San Francisco: Take a tour of GFE’s water-wise demonstration garden to learn how you can create a beautiful garden that needs little or no summer water. It’s free to attend!
